Centurion is a lovely, charming mini-city with a country feel at the same time.  It’s a convenient midway point between Pretoria and Johannesburg and has become a ‘lifestyle of choice’ for many who don’t want to live in a big and busy city.  Centurion give travellers easy access to all major routes that leads to Pretoria, Midrand and Johannesburg.  It has two International Airports within 40km, namely OR Tambo and Lanseria, which provides travellers easy access to most major ports in Africa as well as those right across the globe.

Centurion Mall

Centurion is best known for its large shopping mall, The Centurion Mall, where fashion, dining, entertainment and fun comes naturally!  With its wide variety of shops, services and leisure options, shoppers can enjoy natural shopping in an open-aired Mall that boasts more than 260 stores and restaurant. 

The Centurion Mall is situated within close walking distance from the Centurion Gautrain Station, just off Gordon Hood Road, and is easily accessible from both the N1 and N14 highways, using either John Vorster or Botha off-ramps. Established in 1983 this mammoth 120 000 m² super-regional mall provides shoppers with 6,200 parking bays which all lead into the mall via 11 entrances, where a splendid shopping experience awaits.

Other popular places of interest in Centurion include the Rietvlei Nature Reserve, which is one of the world’s largest urban nature reserves. This urban Reserve is situated 18 km from the centre of Pretoria, 16.4 km from Centurion Mall and 38 km from the OR Tambo International Airport. The Reserve has a typical Highveld climate with dry, frosty winters and temperatures that reach as high as 34°C in the summer.  The Rietvlei Nature Reserve covers an area of 3800 hectares and can support up to 2000 head of game.

Centurion is also home to many championship-styled golf courses, with Centurion Golf Course and Zwartkop Golf Course being the most popular. Zwartkop Country Club is built around a particularly stunning stretch of the Hennops River and has an excellent selection of holes.  Zwartkop has a motto of “If you love golf, we love you.”
